Wow! 🤩 Four Cold & Hungry Penn Staters travelling back from the Bronx after The Pinstripe Bowl and a random Google Search brought us to this historic pub in New Jersey! We were greeted by Rutgers fans / staff that were extremely hospitable and in great spirits! Actually happy to see us even after that tough end of season Rutgers loss. A fun, friendly, & clean well decorated for the holidays atmosphere was the backdrop for an incredible meal. Possibly the best French Dip Sandwich I ever had & the chicken wings were top notch too! BBQ Bourbon Sauce was Da Bomb! Fellow travelers enjoyed a burger & chicken sandwich as well! Would highly recommend & will hopefully be back again soon! Cheers 🍻 to this five star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ pub! Have been here 3 times in the past 45 days with one other person and have enjoyed myself each time. Service has been excellent each time; Note all 3 visits were Sunday-Thursday so I dont know what happens Fri/Sat. Food is very good overall. Standouts are the burgers (wow); the roast chicken; the fries; the meatballs and brussel sprout salad. Less impressive were the wings, especially the dry rub which is way too salty. The wings are also a bit pricey. Drinks are outstanding, although a better wine selection would be helpful, and the bartenders were great. Overall its a really good place to dine
Had a spectacular dinner. Seared tuna special- Perfectly seared sushi grade tuna over delicious soba noodles that were cooked and seasoned to perfection with scallions and edamame beans. The server came out with a giant fresh wasabi root and shaved it over the top in front of me. The portion was so big I had leftovers for lunch. Highly recommend this establishment. The owner is lovely.
A great little place. Happy that it recently changed ownership. My review of the prior restaurant at this location stayed that it needed to decide what type of place it would be. Now, we have the right type of place. Clean and great atmosphere, but not trying to be an "upscale" restaurant when a good pub with good food and good service is what fits. Enjoyed a nice salad with shrimp and a jalapeño margarita. Although I wanted to try more. So, I'll be back!
Excellent food, drinks, atmosphere and service! Historic building loaded with charm. The French Dip sandwich was so tender and juicy you didn't need the jus! The Crispy Chicken Parm was delish! Generous portions. We took half our meals to go. Margaritas were perfectly mixed and served in a large glass. Will definitely go back!
While I will miss the Fox and Hound, the Lebanon Pub is a great successor. I am looking forward to hosting my next business dinner at this facility. I hope the rooms upstairs are still available for private dining. Highly recommended for great food, service, and atmosphere.
As a former resident of Lebanon, this used to be the Fox and Hound Tavern and the Lebanon Hotel. Now they redid the place and made it this! I loved how they updated the place whilst also keeping the antique touch to it! The food was amazing and my guests and I had an amazing time here!! Love this town and this pub!! I will DEFINITELY be back!
Stopped here on a road trip from Dallas, highly recommend! The food/drinks and service were great! Aside from that, the locals have many interesting stories to tell. Definitely stopping back in on my next trip to get a French dip and updates to these stories!
Actually not even through my meal yet. I’m writing this as we eat. The staff was probably the friendliest people I’ve ever met. The atmosphere was unique and pleasant and had a warm feel. The food was so delicious and the flavor combinations were soooo good. I don’t leave reviews but i absolutely had to here. What an amazing experience this dinner was.
The food was reasonably priced and the quality is above a lot of other places. Had the wings I thought were delicious and cooked perfectly. I think you should get more wings at that price but they were on point. Then the burger was good along side the chicken parm sandwich. The highlight was the buck choy vegetable. Would go here again.
